Welcome to the Strauss ECE

The Olga and Bob Strauss Center for Early Childhood Education of Temple Emanu-El was established in May 2000.  A group of very generous people led by Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Cary Marmis and Harold Bongarten had the foresight to know that we needed to establish a Jewish atmosphere of learning for our very youngest members.

Enrollment has grown from 16 children in 3 classrooms to 200 children in 18 classrooms today.  Our school was renamed the Olga and Bob Strauss Center for Early Childhood Education due to the generosity of Olga and Bob Strauss.  

A significant way by which we measure our success is by the rate at which families return to our school.  At the Strauss ECE, we have thirty-one families with their second and/or third child with us.  This is a thoughtful testament to the extraordinary quality and education of our teaching staff.
