Fridays at the Strauss ECE

Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, is a special time.  We enjoy celebrating Shabbat at Temple Emanu-El’s Strauss Early Childhood Education Center and invite you to be a part of this happy holiday each week. 

Shabbat reminds us that our busy week is coming to an end and we can enjoy a relaxing day with family and friends.  Every Friday from 10:15-10:45am we have a fun ECE Shabbat Service and story in the Schlanger Chapel with our Rabbis.

We would love to honor you to join us often.  Please mark your calendar and come celebrate! Your child’s birthday week is a good week to do this but anytime will work. This will be you and your child’s special Shabbat where you will be lighting the candles with them.  Even if your child does not come on Fridays, they will be so excited to come and be the Shabbat guest.  You are also welcomed continue to celebrate Shabbat with your child’s classroom after the Shabbat ceremony.  We invite you to bring a Shabbat treat or activity to share with the classroom.  This will make this time even more special for your child.
